Proofreading is the final check of the formatted text before its publication. This is a crucial stage in delivering a high-quality translation. At this point, no major changes are made and only the last few typos, hyphenation errors and minor layout inaccuracies are corrected. Unlike revision, proofreading is done directly on the paper, in its final format: web, PDF print or, in the old-fashioned way, on paper, known as the "ready-to-print” version.
